Dentistry is Dr. Johnson’s passion. He loves meeting new people, working with his hands, and creating life-changing differences over small periods of time.
His interest in the field began after shadowing dentists and volunteering at free clinics during high school and college. Fun fact – Dr. Johnson studied at Loma Linda University, and that’s also where he met his wife.

First visit. Clean, possibly spotless office. Everyone is very friendly and professional. I am particularly impressed with Bing Nguyen my hygienist. Nice, and very good at her job. Thank you to everyone I met there today.

Above Dental literally and figuratively has impacted my life for the better. I went there terrified and humiliated after four years with South Coast Family Dental. It is no joke to say that my self-image regarding my teeth and my heart at that time was traumatizing. Dr. Nicholas and Rebecca, his assistant, changed all of that for me! They listened, they understood, they explained, and they developed a plan that gave me back hope for not only my teeth, but the entire "me" that was wrapped around the issue. They showed me respect, compassion, and great intellectual insight. I had always taken exceptional care of my teeth - but other health problems had affected them in ways that I had no idea how to control. South Coast Family Dentistry never educated me or practiced preventative dentistry; they made a heck of a lot of money. Above Dental actually cared - and it is evident in every aspect of their office. I am so incredibly grateful for Rebecca, Dr. Nicholas (Ang), and their skill, patience, and kindness. Thank you.

Just finished a deep cleaning with Binh after 20+ years of not going to the dentist, because of fear and bad experiences in the past. She was gentle, encouraging and very in tune to how I was handling it. Thank you Binh. I can smile again!!
